This group will meet LIVE IN PERSON at Hobbs Pharmacy, 133 N. Banana River Dr, Merritt Island.
Facilitated by cancer survivor and social worker Christina Tecson, MSW, we will open up the group to find out how YOU are these days, discuss cancer-related questions and concerns, and allow you to gain support from each other. Snacks provided.
Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers benefit from the support of others with similar cancer experiences. Our general cancer support and open discussion groups are for all men and women touched by the disease. Even though you may receive support from friends and family, joining a support group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to provide you with a profound understanding of what you are going through, because they have similar feelings, worries, everyday problems, treatment decisions, or treatment side effects.
Caregiving Options: When is it time to seek extra help for yourself or a loved one?
Know what care options are available before you need it! Understand the various options available to help cancer patients and their families care for themselves and their household. Resource Specialists from various aspects of professional care giving will be present to explain and discuss home health, private duty nursing, companion care, palliative care, and hospice services.
