This group will meet LIVE IN PERSON at Hobbs Pharmacy, 133 N. Banana River Dr, Merritt Island.
Facilitated by cancer survivor and social worker Christina Tecson, MSW, we will open up the group to find out how YOU are these days, discuss cancer-related questions and concerns, and allow you to gain support from each other.
Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers benefit from the support of others with similar cancer experiences. Our general cancer support and open discussion groups are for all men and women touched by the disease. Even though you may receive support from friends and family, joining a support group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to provide you with a profound understanding of what you are going through, because they have similar feelings, worries, everyday problems, treatment decisions, or treatment side effects.

Jessica Beal-Stahl, PharmD. is a pharmacist at Hobbs Pharmacy. Hobbs was one of the pioneers in the county educating and selling CBD to customers. CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, a cousin of marijuana, or manufactured in a laboratory. CBD does not cause a “high” but does offer a variety of benefits proven in studies that are widely ranging from supporting your immune system, aiding in sleep and relaxation, or even helping with decreasing inflammation. Come learn more about the intriguing compound that is often misunderstood, as we cover the basics, how it works, dosing, choosing quality products and much more.
