Join us for information and open sharing as cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and families of those affected by cancer get together for warm conversation and information sharing. Facilitated by Melisa, RN, we discuss cancer-related questions and concerns while gaining support, information, and resources from each other. This group is open to those affected by any type of cancer and in any phase of treatment and recovery.
Our April program will feature a Chair Yoga demonstration by Cathy Johnson. Chair Yoga incorporates stretching, strengthening and awareness practices, all done in a seated position.
Cathy teaches a FREE weekly Chair Yoga class on Tuesdays at 3:00 pm at The Space Next Door, Cocoa Beach. This is a beginner’s class. No prior experience is required, all levels of health are welcome, and the classes are available to patients, caregivers, cancer survivors, as well as any professionals working with cancer patients.
Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers benefit from the support of others with similar cancer experiences. Even though you may receive support from friends and family, joining a support group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to provide you with a profound understanding of what you are going through, because they have similar feelings, worries, everyday problems, treatment decisions, or treatment side effects.
