Art For Self-Care with Nancy
“BUTTERFLYS ARE FREE” MONOPRINT: a COVID- friendly art lesson by Nancy Bindig
This class will meet ONLINE using Zoom.
Please join me as I show you how to make and embellish a Monoprint “painting” using markers and other art materials you may have at home.
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind art piece which can symbolize whatever stage of healing or life journey you find yourself on. Come express yourself with forms and colors that can range from “cocooning” to “emerging in flight” as a brightly released butterfly!
And learn the fun technique of making a unique Monoprint!
Here is a list of the supplies you will need:
Magic Markers Multi Color Pack – non-permanent. We want the colors to “bleed.”
OR Watercolor Paints.
1-3 sheets of smooth drawing paper, 8 X 11″. Paper should not have a texture or “tooth” – Ex. not watercolor paper.
Thick Paper Towels – choose ones that have an embossed textured design if possible.
A sheet of cardboard or plastic to protect the surface you are working on.
Optional art supplies: pens, markers, pencils, other paints. These are not necessary but can be used to enhance your mono-print once it dries.
Wear a smock or over top.
